The Silver Blades 61st Ice Show gets underway 7 p.m. at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.
The skates are sharpened and ready to go as more than 160 young figure skaters are getting ready for the 61st annual Silver Blades Ice Show tomorrow. Seven graduation skaters have selected their own music and with a little help from a choreographer, have managed to keep the details a secret. A few of them joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit on air recently. Olivia Stuckless says making new friends is what kept her skating since she was only three years old. Greta Andrews says she started skating 16 years ago with her sister and it was a way for them to bond. Natalie Caines says the rink became her second home, hanging out with friends and learning new things. The Silver Blades 61st Ice Show gets underway 7 p.m. at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.
