61-year-old man dies after his moped collided with a backhoe in Dunville

    Shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Placentia RCMP received a report of a collision that occurred at the intersection of Main Road and Greenhouse Road in Dunville between a backhoe and a moped motorcycle. 

    A 61-year-old man is dead after a collision that happened on Friday, October 18th, in Dunville. Shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Placentia RCMP received a report of a collision that occurred at the intersection of Main Road and Greenhouse Road in Dunville between a backhoe and a moped motorcycle.  The operator of the moped was transported to Placentia Health Centre with injuries and died a few hours later.  The operator of the backhoe was uninjured. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is involved in this ongoing investigation.
