49 more sexual violence charges laid against a Paradise man

    Markus Hicks remains in custody.  

    RNC have laid dozens more sexual violence charges against Markus Hicks of Paradise and the investigation is continuing. Hicks now faces an additional 49 charges into sexual violence on the Northeast Avalon. Hicks was charged September 6th with one count of sexual assault following an investigation that started August 23rd. That’s when the RNC received information related to the use of fictitious identities, social media applications, and concealment to arrange sexual acts.  Yesterday (Sept. 11), HICKS was charged in relation to five additional cases. The charges include counts of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, child pornography, disguise with intent, breach of trust, permitting prohibited sexual activity within a household, making sexually explicit material available to a child, luring a child, and arranging a sexual offence with a youth. Markus Hicks remains in custody.
