3,000 acres of crown land now available for farmers with long term plans

    This includes 14 parcels located in western, central and eastern Newfoundland.

    Government is putting about 3,000 acres of farmland up for grabs for long-term agricultural use. This includes 14 parcels located in western, central and eastern Newfoundland. Proposals must include a five-year farm development plan, a commercial farm business plan and if needed, a pasture management plan. Successful applicants will be eligible to acquire a long-term Crown land agricultural title. Proposals will be accepted until May 22nd.
