To apply, farmers and producers must have reported a minimum of $15,000 in sales in one of the last three years or be new to the Agriculture industry.
Applications are now open until May 25th, for the 2026-27 Provincial Agrifoods Assistance Program, designed to help new and established farmers. Through Budget 2026, government is putting nearly $3.3 million into the program, an extra million over previous years. To encourage new farmers, new entrants can qualify for up to $20,000 in funding. To apply, farmers and producers must have reported a minimum of $15,000 in sales in one of the last three years or be new to the Agriculture industry. Synthetic fertilizer from an approved supplier will still be eligible for reimbursement at 50 per cent of the cost. This year, eligible farmers may also apply for the bulk limestone program.
