Sunday is World Suicide Prevention Day and the theme this years is Creating Hope Through Action. Here in Corner Brook, the 15th Annual Walk for World Suicide Prevention Day will take place 7 o’clock this evening at Remembrance Square. Quinn Jesso is a Mental Health Promotions Coordinator with the Community Mental Health Initiative. On Bayfm this morning with Lenny Benoit, Jesso says community support is vital and there is help available. Jesso says there is still too much stigma attached to seeing a doctor for mental health. People are asked to wear an orange or yellow shirt at the walk this evening.
