Nearly 1500 people came out in the rain to celebrate the second annual Elamstukwek Mawio’mi this past weekend. Sherry Dean is a ward councillor for Corner Brook with Qalipu First Nations and was also chairperson for the planning committee. She says it was twice as many people as last year.
