Retired curler Brad Gushue has a new book coming out. “Gushue:The Making of A Champion” will hit store shelves in early November. The book is co-authored by Stephen Brunt. On Bayfm, Gushue spoke about the book which centers around the last 25 years of his life and career with a behind the scenes look.
Gushue was only 13 years old when he started curling and says it was tv that first sparked his interest in it. He went on to the Briar, the world championships, the olympics, and was the reason during the middle of February in 2006, schools in this province closed at lunchtime so everyone could watch his team compete for Canada’s first Olympic gold medal in men’s curling at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy.
Gushue says the book is about the good and the bad, and was therapy for him as he faced retirement.
Gushue: The Making of a Champion is due to come out November 3rd.
