A new driver had his license suspended and vehicle seized after a traffic stop in Corner Brook last night. RNC Cst Stephanice Myers says police pulled him over on Main Street around 9:30. The 18-year-old provided a roadside breath sample showing he had consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel, an offence for any novice driver or driver under age 22.
Under a class 5 two license, a driver must go a year without suspension and have to be accompanied by a licensed driver with four years experience if driving between midnight and 5 a.m.
