A Coast Guard ship left Corner Brook last week to help a vessel in distress. On Wednesday, the fishing vessel Aaron Ancil reported they were having engine trouble and needed a tow. The Canadian Coast Guard issued a marine assistance request broadcast for vessels in the area to help, but did not get a response. The Canadian Coast Guard sent the Mira Bay, out of Corner Brook, which towed the fishing vessel Aaron Ancil into port, and arrived shortly after 6 p.m.
