On this edition of Qalipu Today on Bay Fm we look ahead to the 4th Annual Elmastukwek Mawio’mi, happening August 8 to 10 in Corner Brook.
The celebration begins Thursday, August 8, with an evening of Arts and Music at the Rotary Arts Centre, followed by two days of cultural celebration on the shores of the Bay of Islands.
Experience drumming, dancing, traditional teachings, and Indigenous vendors—all in honour of Mi’kmaw identity, culture, and community.
We’ll share what’s planned and why gatherings like the Mawio’mi are so meaningful.
