MS Canada’s MS Walk is back on Sunday, May 25th, happening across 50 locations nationally, as well as online.The annual event brings friends, families, coworkers, and the local MS (multiple sclerosis) community together to raise funds and awareness. Melissa Brake is the Atlantic ambassador for MS Canada. Brake says funds raised will go towards MS research, support programs, and important advocacy work. She says the National goal this year is $4M and here in Corner Brook, they hope to raise $14K. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world, with over 90,000 Canadians living with the condition and approximately 12 new diagnoses every day.
