Mi’kmaw singer songwriter Elizabeth Sheppard who records and releases original music will be playing at the Songs and Stories stage at the East Coast Music Awards in North Sydney, Nova Scotia on Friday May 22. Sheppard will be dropping a new single Sunday May 17. The song is being released exactly one month after the loss of her dear friend Michael Alexander and is dedicated to him. She joined Bay Fm’s Dean Clarke by phone.
