Woman clocked doing 156 km/hr in a 100 zone and an ATV operator with a suspended license ticketed

    A 22-year-old woman was stopped on the Trans Canada Highway near Hampden Tuesday afternoon after being clocked doing 156 km/hr in a 100 zone

    RCMP Traffic Services West handed out tickets for speeding and a suspended driver’s license this week. A 22-year-old woman was stopped on the Trans Canada Highway near Hampden Tuesday afternoon after being clocked doing 156 km/hr in a 100 zone. She was given a ticket for speeding, her vehicle was seized and impounded by police and her driver’s licence was suspended.
    Elsewhere, a 60-year-old man was handed a ticket for operating an ATV with a suspended license Tuesday afternoon. Police stopped the man on the shoulder of the Trans-Canada Highway near the exit to Baie Verte for not wearing a helmet. That’s when they learned he did not have a valid license.
