Pastor Jeremy says they recently received a donation of 225 pounds of potatoes but still need carrots, turnip, frozen peas, pop and boxes of chocolates.

The Westside Tabernacle has a yearly Christmas Day tradition that includes a turkey dinner and all the fixings, chocolates and a gift for each small child. This year, within ten days of registration, they reached capacity. Pastor Jeremy says they will be delivering 475 meals. He says in past years, they’ve taken orders right up until Christmas morning but this is the first time they have reached capacity. Since 2020, Pastor Jeremy says the need has grown exponentially but that’s all their kitchen can handle. He says they recently received a donation of 225 pounds of potatoes but still need carrots, turnip, frozen peas, pop and boxes of chocolates. This year, they will prepare 60-70 gifts to prepare and have 40 left to fill. Anyone interested in helping out can contact 634-2513 to donate. The dinner costs about $8000 in total and Pastor Jeremy says they’re halfway to that goal.
