Two women arrested after stealing from several Stephenville businesses

    They were arrested later Wednesday afternoon and have both been charged with five counts of Theft Under $5000 as well as Possession of Stolen Property.

    Bay St. George RCMP arrested two women yesterday afternoon who had over $2000.00 worth of stolen merchandise from multiple businesses in Stephenville. On Tuesday, police received a report of two women stealing a large amount of merchandise from a store. The following day, RCMP determined the same two had stolen merchandise from two other stores. They were arrested later Wednesday afternoon and have both been charged with five counts of Theft Under $5000 as well as Possession of Stolen Property. They were released to appear in court at a later date. The investigation is continuing.
