    Trial for accused murderer Dean Penney now underway at Corner Brook Supreme Court

    Penney is accused of murdering his estranged wife, 38-year-old Jennifer Hillier-Penney, who disappeared on November 30th, 2016.  

    The trial of a St.Anthony man charged with first-degree murder is on the docket for Corner Brook Supreme Court today and is slated to continue until at least the end of the month. Dean Frederick Penney was arrested in Deer Lake in December of 2023. While human remains have not been found, Penney is accused of murdering his estranged wife, 38-year-old Jennifer Hillier-Penney. She disappeared on November 30th, 2016.
