Looks like radio licenses and technical changes have been put on hold for the next two years. The CRTC recently announced that it will defer new licence and technical amendment applications relating to radio for the next two years as it focuses on its regulatory plan to modernize the broadcasting system. It will continue to process applications for changes in ownership of radio stations. CTRC has said applications are being modified to include “exceptional circumstances,” or the CRTC will not accept it. A letter will be sent out to advise whether the application will be processed or not.
