Sustainable funding for farmers supports 110 projects

    Since the launch of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) in April 2023 over $7 million in funding has supported more than 110 projects.

    Since the launch of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) in April 2023 over $7 million in funding has supported more than 110 projects. This includes more than $928,000 to support the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture in delivering a wide range of projects, including a new farm-focused mental health and safety initiative. The Sustainable CAP investment of $72,500 for the Farmer Mental Health, Wellness and Safety program will help farmers, farm workers and their families deal with challenges they encounter in the province’s agriculture sector. Newfoundland and Labrador’s farmers and producers have access to more than $42 million in cost-shared Sustainable CAP funding..
