It’s been on the go for four years now, and today at St. Peter’s Academy in Benoit’s Cove, students get a chance to go “shopping.” Nancy O’Quinn has been teaching religion to Grade 6 students for some time now and she says it all started there.
She says community volunteers are at the school today to help and students will be able to visit the gym and have a look at the over 2700 pieces of clothing they have collected. She says at 3:30 until 7:30 tonight, anyone can drop by and get something free of charge. O’Quinn says up until last year, they collected about 9000 pieces of clothing. There are 135 kids currently attending St. Peter’s Academy.
