Steady Brook residents are reminded the boil water order is still in effect. Water testing is continuing in light of E -coli being found in the supply at Steady Brook. Mayor Bill Dawson says a boil water order was put in place a week ago after 2 of the 4 samples taken by Service NL showed the presence of E-coli and low chlorine levels. Dawson says it could take some time to determine what happened and get good results. He says in the long term, the community is looking at getting Corner Brook to supply water. Dawson says there needs to be several good tests in a row before the boil order can be lifted.
