The annual spring cleanup in Corner Brook will take place from May 4th-29th. Residents can put bulk household waste to the curb for pickup but metals must be placed in a separate pile. The City will also pay for tipping fees at Wild Cove Transfer station from Friday, May 1st to Monday, May 11th. Western Regional Waste Management’s Lynn Howse was on Bayfm’s Trash Talk with Lenny Benoit and says that has to be separated also. During this time, residents can make as many trips as they like, and proof of residency in Corner Brook will be required. Kirstin Mercer is the city’s Sustainability Coordinator and says the city will be separated into four different sections for the four weeks of curbside collection.
