"Soul Sisters," the stories of three beothuk women in a new book by LeahDawn Helena

    “Stolen Sisters” is an award winning,  fresh off the press publication from Breakwater Books.

    There’s a new book out that tells the stories and legacies of three Beothuk women. “Stolen Sisters” is an award winning,  fresh off the press publication from Breakwater Books. Written by LeahDawn Helena, Stolen Sisters started out as a play and last week the book became available at Coles and Chapters. 

    Helena is from the Bay St. George area and is of mixed Mi’kmaw and French heritage. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociocultural Studies and a Fine Arts degree from Grenfell. More information can be found at breakwaterbooks.com
