Seven young women from the west coast have been awarded as part of the 100th Anniversary of Women Achieving the Right to Vote and Hold Public Office Scholarship Program. One hundred scholarships valued at $1,000 have been presented to 100 outstanding young women in grades 10-12 from communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Corner Brook High students Ava Doman ( doh-man), Julie Walsh, and Lily Miles were among the recipients.
