Rough roads making it hard to get to Bottle Cove

    The Mayor of Lark Harbour is worried someone may get hurt because of the poor state of the highway. Wade Park says they applied for phase five funding of the town’s water and sewer project and did not get any. He spoke to the Transportation department several weeks ago and some patching will take place. Mayor Park says  Bottle Cove is a huge tourist attraction and cruise ship passengers are offered bus tours to the area all summer. He says it’s hard to watch them trying to navigate, almost like a drunk driver. Mayor Park says gabion baskets are trying to hold  everything back but they haven’t been worked on in 35-40 years.
