The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is now accepting applications for its Cadet Training Program. The ‘Find Your Purpose’ campaign includes video and photo elements of current serving members. The campaign puts a human face to policing and challenges the misconceptions of the job while highlighting the special traits of a good officer. Cst James Cadigan says all the information is found on the website rnc.gov.nl.ca. He says it’s unknown at this time where the seven new officers announced yesterday will be assigned. Members of the Recruiting Outreach Team will be visiting high schools across the province and meeting with post-secondary students to highlight the duties of a police officer.
