The RNC Historical Society hosted the launch of a book by Terry Carlson, called "Much More Than Police: A History of The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary 1871-1949." The event was held at the Rooms in St. John’s. Cst James Cadigan says the book contains a lot of research. Cadigan says it’s important to document the history of organizations, like the RNC. The generosity of Elinor Gill-Ratcliffe deserves special recognition as she graciously covered the entire cost of publication.
