RNC stopped pursuing the speeder in the interest of public safety but later located the suspect vehicle at a residence on Dogwood Drive.
The RNC charged a 22-year-old male driver yesterday after he sped past officers conducting radar enforcement. Police say it happened shortly before 2:30 yesterday morning on the Trans-Canada Highway near Steady Brook. The vehicle was travelling at 185 km/hr. RNC stopped pursuing the speeder in the interest of public safety but later located the suspect vehicle at a residence on Dogwood Drive. The man has been charged with flight from police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. His vehicle was seized, license suspended, and he was ticketed for speeding.
