People taking the bus around Corner Brook will soon have the option to get a ride up until 11 p.m. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit this morning, Mayor Linda Chaisson says this extension will happen soon, within the next month to month and a half. At a committee meeting last week, she says a gentleman said, “Wow, now I can go out and have my supper and not have to worry about getting home.

Corner Brook Transit currently operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with no services available on weekends or statutory holidays. Back in July, an on-demand, door-to-door service for accessible transit users was launched. The van will transport riders to any destination within the city limits during regular service hours. The city has one accessible bus running now and another coming online soon.
