Registration opens tomorrow for the Becoming and Outdoors Woman Workshop

    Courses include introduction to firearms and archery, outdoor cooking, fishing basics, hiking and backpacking, chainsaw safety, and more.

    Registration for the spring 2026 Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) workshop will open tomorrow. Priority will be given to new applicants who apply between April 7-9 to give first-time participants a chance to register. This year’s event will be held at Burry Heights on Salmonier Line from May 29-31. It’s designed for those 18 years and older, no experience is necessary, and open to all fitness levels. Courses include introduction to firearms and archery, outdoor cooking, fishing basics, hiking and backpacking, chainsaw safety, and more. Contact  salmoniernaturepark@gov.nl.ca to register.
