Police and highway enforcement pulled four commercial vehicles off the road and inspected two others at a checkpoint in Stephenville last Tuesday. RCMP Traffic Services West partnered with Service NL’s Highway Enforcement Officers and inspected six commercial vehicles with nine defects identified. Four of the six vehicles were removed from service. One driver was ticketed for operating an unregistered vehicle, and two other drivers were ticketed for failing to produce a daily logbook. Two drivers were required to report to Motor Registration Division to ensure the correct weight category registration of their vehicles.
