A caller reported that an unknown man was seen speaking with two youths, and left in a white SUV, possibly a Ford, headed towards West Street.

Bay St. George RCMP is looking to identify a vehicle and driver involved in an incident reported in Stephenville earlier this month. Shortly after 10 a.m.. on April 2nd, police received a report of a suspicious occurrence on Gallant Street. The caller reported that an unknown man was seen speaking with two youths, and left in a white SUV, possibly a Ford, headed towards West Street. He was described as older, possibly in his 60s, with little to no hair.

The witness spoke with the two youths, who claimed the driver offered them money to get in the vehicle. Both young people had left the area before police arrived but did not report it. RCMP would like to speak with the two youths and their guardians, as well, locate the suspect vehicle and identify its driver.
