RCMP has nearly doubled the training allowance to become a police officer

    The cadet recruitment allowance has increased from $525 to $1,000 per week.

    There’s a new incentive to help support the next generation of RCMP police officers. As of last week, the cadet recruitment allowance has increased from $525 to $1,000 per week. The change reflects the RCMP’s commitment to supporting cadets’ well-being and removing financial barriers for those pursuing a career in policing.
