Annette George is with the Health and Wellness Division and says it’s about living in balance, respect, roles and relationships.
The Health and Wellness Division with Qalipu First nations is focusing on Netukulimk, which is a way of being and interconnecting. On Bayfm’s Qalipu Today, the guests were Annette George and Hannah Taylor. George says it’s about living in balance, respect, roles and relationships. Taylor says they try to cover areas that are lacking like third spaces and respect for the land, things that people can benefit from. She says the division recently held a medicine bag workshop, providing them with tobacco and the tools to make the bag. The group also hosts other workshops focusing on things like art and plant wellness. George says it’s about reinforcing responsibilities we have as human beings and we have a certain place on this earth. For more information about workshops go to qalipu.ca or check out their facebook page.
