Premier Andrew Furey will deliver an apology to former students of the residential school system in collaboration with the NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC), as committed in 2017. The apology will start 1pm at Cartwright Recreation Centre in Cartwright. Joining the Premier for the event is Labrador Affairs Minister Lisa Dempster, and Minister of Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation, and President of the NCC, Todd Russell.
