Powerlifter Daniel Moores en route home from the Special Olympics in Berlin

    Daniel won Bronze overall with a Triple Combination of 462.5 Kgs.

    Daniel Moores of Corner Brook is bringing home 4 medals from the 2023 Special Olympics World Games in Berlin. Daniel won a Bronze Medal in the Squat, Bronze Medal in the Bench Press, Silver Medal in the Deadlift, and Bronze overall with a Triple Combination of 462.5 Kgs. His father, Len Moores, says he’s never seen Daniel more prepared and he was ready for Friday’s event. Moores says Daniel was committed to training before the event, also with Jackie Barrett. Daniel Moores is due to fly into Deer Lake around midnight.
