Well-being networks will include regional stakeholders to identify challenges and effectively deliver solutions.
Government is creating the first two regional well-being networks, one on the west coast and one in Labrador. Well-being networks will include regional stakeholders to identify challenges and effectively deliver solutions. The first two regions were selected because they have already started some of the work that would be necessary for a well-being network. Once evaluated, networks will be expanded to each region of the province. Well-being is an overall positive quality of life where an individual’s needs are met across many aspects, including physical, mental, social, economic and environmental. Health Minister Tom Osborne says “ This proactive approach to addressing the social determinants of health complements our existing initiatives that focus on health care delivery and will lead to greater well-being for all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.”
