These awards are an opportunity to recognize seniors of all walks of life – those who are experts in their field, share their culture and talents, who volunteer as coaches, organizers and fundraisers, and seniors who care for people in need.
There are many seniors who make our communities stronger and people have a chance to recognize and celebrate their contributions, achievements and diversity. Government is accepting nominations for the Newfoundland and Labrador Seniors of Distinction Awards until May 11th. These awards are an opportunity to recognize seniors of all walks of life – those who are experts in their field, share their culture and talents, who volunteer as coaches, organizers and fundraisers, and seniors who care for people in need. To be eligible for the award, a senior must be nominated by an individual or group, must be 50 years of age or older and be a current or past resident. Nominations from last year will also be reviewed again this year if requested. More information can be found at gov.nl.ca.
