There were no injuries after a single vehicle collision on the Trans Canada Highway near Steady Brook this morning but traffic was slowed to a stand still. RNC Cst Stephanie Myers says police were called out around 5 o’clock this morning after a tractor trailer was blocking traffic heading east. She says it appears to be due to poor road conditions, and the truck and guardrail were damaged. The area was cleared about four hours later. Meanwhile, the first day of Spring was March 20th, but Myers has some advice for the motoring public. She says “we are back to winter driving so proceed with caution.” Government has already extended the deadline to May15th to have studded tires removed.
