NL's fifth waterbomber will be back in the air by May 1st, ahead of this year's forest fire season

    Structural repairs are underway with most of the work already completed.

    This province’s fifth water bomber is expected to be back in service soon, in time for this year’s forest fire season, according to a recent update by government. Structural repairs are underway with most of the work already completed. The project remains firmly on schedule, and the aircraft is expected to return to service on May 1 for this year’s fire season.
