As Volunteer Week nears to a close, the push is on to get volunteers for the NL Summer Games coming to Corner Brook in August. Sarah Parsons is the Director of Volunteers as well as Food Services. She says they need a couple of hundred people with no shortage of roles.
Parsons says volunteers will have fun times and many choices like hospitality opportunities, marketing, the medical team, sports operations, security, and more. She has been involved in volunteering since she was a child and believes it really helps shape who you are.
Volunteers with the games have to be at least 15 years old and provide a criminal background check. For more information go to nlgames.ca.
