Executive Director Barry Rooke says membership has grown from 90 to 125 members since he joined the NCRA in 2015.
The National Campus and Community Radio Association recently celebrated a 38th anniversary. For nearly four decades, the NCRA has been at the forefront of promoting and supporting the amazing and diverse voices that make up our radio airwaves, including Bayfm. Executive Director Barry Rooke says membership has grown from 90 to 125 members since he joined the NCRA in 2015. Rooke says radio is an older medium but feels radio will be around for a long as it shifts the delivery method, to online and on demand. He says these are all ways people share information. Audio will always be relevant and continues to be really important during emergency broadcasting. Rooke says the NCRA actually started through the National Campus and Community Radio conference which just concluded its 42nd edition of the program.
