The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place this Saturday.
Premier Andrew Furey says our ties to the monarchy and the United Kingdom are quite strong and generational. He says it’s a unique attachment. Premier Furey says although the monarchy has changed, the Queen has always been a stabilizing force. Events will be held on Government House grounds in St. John’s, including a parade by a Guard of Honour, followed by a flag raising, tree planting and 21-gun salute.
