O’Driscoll says, the Liberal government indicated that the condition of the hospital was the poorest among all hospitals in Newfoundland and Labrador, excluding the soon-to-be-replaced Western Memorial and Waterford.
Ferryland MHA Loyola O’Driscoll is sounding the alarm over the condition of healthcare facilities in the province and the lack of transparency from Government on the issue. According to an Access to Information request filed by the Telegram and reported yesterday, there are several healthcare facilities in the province that are in worse condition than St. Clare’s Hospital. O’Driscoll says, the Liberal government indicated that the condition of the hospital was the poorest among all hospitals in Newfoundland and Labrador, excluding the soon-to-be-replaced Western Memorial and Waterford. The same Access to Information request also shows that many long-term care homes have extremely poor conditions.
