Man arrested after trying to get away from Bay St. George RCMP

    The vehicle was impounded and several tickets were issued.

    A 31 year old man is facing charges after trying to get away from police in Stephenville on Christmas Eve. At around 1:.30 that morning, Bay St. George RCMP attempted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Carolina Avenue, which then sped away. Officers located the vehicle stuck in snow/mud near Dump Road, outside of Stephenville. After a foot pursuit they found the man. The vehicle was impounded and several tickets were issued. The driver was released to attend court at a later date.
