Street says operators can always check the Western Sno-Riders for the latest trail conditions and grooming.

It’s winter and that means outdoor activities that include snowmobiling. Shawn Street is the coordinator of the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue group. He says before heading out for the day, make sure you have a detailed trip plan that includes your expected time of return and leave this with loved ones. Street says operators can always check the Western Sno-Riders for the latest trail conditions and grooming. He says there’s also plenty of information online, like avalanches. Street says it’s always a  good idea to bring along an extra belt and spark plugs.
