Special Olympians will register 10am Sunday at the Civic Centre
Special Olympians in Corner Brook and area will take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run this Sunday at the Civic Centre. They will meet and register at 10am. Spokesperson Tony Bullen says the walk will start at 10:30 and head down through the park, out through West Street, then up by the RNC building and back to the Civic Centre for a bbq hosted by the RNC. Bullen says it will go ahead, rain or shine. He says it's rewarding to see them smile and hug their friends, something they dearly missed during covid lockdowns. Bullen says the annual torch run is their major fundraiser and it helps cover the costs of tournaments and travel.
