Mayor Wade Park says it’s good news but the sad part is, gabion baskets haven’t been worked on for decades now.

The Mayor of Lark Harbour is happy to hear Transportation Minister John Abbott has committed to have engineers assess roads for safety issues. In an interview with BayFM News on Friday, the Minister spoke about a recent meeting with MHA Eddie Joyce and even saw pictures of the poor road conditions. Mayor Wade Park says it’s good news but the sad part is, gabion baskets haven’t been worked on for decades now. He would like to invite the Transportation Minister to visit and see first hand what dangers there are. Park says there are a lot of bus tours heading down to Bottle Cove and it’s shameful to watch them try to maneuver around potholes.
