This is National Indigenous History Month a time to honour the stories and cultures of Indigenous Peoples, whose presence and stewardship of this land span generations. Brake says language is something Indigenous people across the country are trying to revitalize.
Brad Evoy is the Chief Administrative Officer with Qalipu First Nation. He says there is so much broader history that the general settler society does not have a full grasp on and there is a huge gap to fill by reaffirming and reasserting ourselves.
