The Western Regional Hospital Foundation’s 33rd Radiothon is underway on Bayfm. This year, the goal is to raise slightly more than $600,00 to buy 7 pieces of necessary medical equipment. Tara Freake is the VP and Chief Operating Officer of the Western Region NLHealth Services. She says they depend on the foundation to help get the latest equipment and every year during summer and into the fall they create a list of what is needed. Freake has been in health care for about 25 years and it’s always heartwarming to see the support. A radiothon was held in Stephenville yesterday.
